Broken Vow

A blanket of never ending melancholy flooded the skies of Manila. As the cold breeze came across his disquieted mind, Victor finally decided to enter the almost-empty Cathedral.

Sudden visions from the hauntingly beautiful sanctuary, exactly five years ago, etched in him quickly: A white veil occasion turned into fear and horror.

Coming back to reality, he noticed a nun seating just a few rows before him. “Excuse me, may I ask wh–“

He had to cut his question as soon as her deep-set eyes made its way through his. It was she. The woman he left on the altar.
