My Two Cents Re: Forgiveness

I have been constantly asked by numerous of people on why I keep on forgiving. On how do I manage to accept someone who have done wrongly. And this is the reason why.

I forgive because I believe that there is hope in everyone, that people can change and that we all deserve someone who will not give up on us while we are on the process of changing. I forgive because I don’t want to trap myself hating someone who has done me wrong because I would hurt myself more by not forgiving than any hurt ever caused by another. I forgive because when we do not forgive we are blaming someone else for the pain we are actively maintaining in ourself.

In other words, I forgive because I want to be happy. Living with a heart full of grief is never healthy. In the end of the day, we all have a choice. A choice to forgive or be unhappy. Which do you prefer?
