First of all, Happy New Year! I was about to start writing my usual resolutions, but then I realized I can not remember one which I stuck to and fulfilled until the end. So this year, I choose to stop making resolutions and I will keep it simple.
P.S. If you are not interested with the blabs I have for my life and you are here for the free productivity printable, you can go directly at the end of this post!
Three lines. I’m going through 2018 with three lines.
“It’s a big world out there. It would be a shame not to experience it.”
I have been stuck at home almost every single day, in love with my bed. Curled up and wrapped with my comforter like a giant burrito enjoying the artificial breeze my air conditioner would give me with a cup of coffee or tea along with my laptop on my bedside table.
However, I have been longing for adventures. My heart have always, always, always screamed for travel, for exploration and discovering new places. I have been wanting to hike mountains and to swim oceans.
I want to get lost in the woods, instead of my mind.
I want to drown in the ocean, instead of my thoughts.
I want to get lost in the beauty of the world (or maybe for now, the beauty of the Philippines first).
So, this year, I will be cutting off my expenses to be able to save up for travel. Whether that may be to the beach, to a mountain, to a famous tourist spot, or a museum. Really do hope I can make this happen. Also, I will be working on my body so that I’ll be fit for hiking and for the beach.
In line with that I will try to get my lazy ass to exercise at least 20 minutes everyday and I will try my best to cut off my intake of
- fatty and oily food
- juice and iced tea
- dairy products
- fast food
I’m putting this out here so that I will be a little pressured (yes, a little, because everyone who knows me in person is aware of how much of a heavy eater I am and I think I have mentioned that way too many times here in my blog as well.) to follow it.
I feel like my creative juices started kind of rotting this 2017 and I somehow wasn’t able to create something for myself for the longest time. I felt really happy last night when I started editing not for any publicity material of my organizations but for my own pleasure.
So this year, I’ll make it a point to create more. More artworks, both handmade and digital, and more poetries that could express myself.
Because, for me, art is where work meets love.
Art is something that could make one breathe with a different kind of happiness
Art is being courageous because you let go of certainties.
Art is expressing who you are with no limits nor boundaries.
I am so excited to be able to create art again. I have been searching for random art inspirations that I can use as soon as I get back to LB.
I will start doing the things that makes me happy and those that I love to do. I will pour my heart more on the things I am truly passionate about.
I will try my best to look at the positive side of things more from now on. No to negativity and toxicity this 2018, please!! I will have fun while, of course, continuously making other people happy and never forgetting about my responsibilities, as well.
Speaking of responsibilities, I am one of those people who loves to write everything and list down my responsibilities, the things I have to accomplish, my priorities and the like. I love planning day ahead of time because it gives me somehow the illusion that I have my life arranged even if I’m crumbling inside (char! drama). But seriously though, I love planners. And to start my year right, here’s a downloadable to-do list and week overview that I would want to share to you guys, too! Hope it helps!
Here’s the usual week overview lay-out and the regular to-do list.
As for those who are extra organized when it comes to things, I think this other lay-out is perfect for you. I personally like this more, too!
Planning to design and sell a printed 2018 planner and notepads sometime this week/ month, too!
How about you? What are your resolutions and goals this new year? Comment below and let me hear from you! You can also comment below if you downloaded and/or used the lay-out. It will be very much appreciated. ✨
P.S. I am open for art collaborations and commissions. You can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org ❤️
With much love and anticipation,
